SANBAO is a pharmaceutical company specialized in the manufacture of high-quality intravenous infusions

SANBAO was established and incorporated in Ghana in 1998, which originally operated from its previous premises at the New Industrial Area in Kpone near Tema.

In February 2013, we relocated into a new state-of-the-art facility within the Tema Free Zones Enclave (Tema Export Processing Zone). The new facility has an installed production capacity of 15 million bags of infusion per annum

SANBAO is currently the leading manufacturer and provider of high-quality and affordable intravenous infusions on the Ghanaian market. Over the last 2 decades, we have strengthened our commitment to live up to our motto: “Quality is Life.”

SANBAO employs Form-Fill-Seal technology in the manufacture of our intravenous infusions which are packaged in Polypropylene (Non-PVC) bags. Click here. to find out why we have changed our packaging material from Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to Polypropylene (PP).

In total, SANBAO’s product range comprises 27 different products. Out of these, 14 are intravenous infusions, 9 are medical devices and 4 are small volume parenterals. For more information about our products, please Click here.

Packaged in collapsible Polypropylene bags (PP) which have the following comparative advantages over PVC bags and bottles:

6. Free from plasticizers, hence, poses no serious health hazards unlike PVC which may have adverse effects on the male reproductive system

7. Self-sealing medication and administration ports, preventing air contamination

8. No need for venting before use, unlike bottled infusions

9. PP does not leach into solution as much as PVC does

10. PP is non-carcinogenic and biodegradable (environmentally friendly)
